The Wilderness Children

"today i found your letters in a plastic bag from tesco"

Who?
I think - and my facts are sketchier than on most of these pages, which is saying something - there was some sort of brother-sister thing happening in this band. Not in an incestuous way, you sicko, but thats really all I know.

Yes, Anna, they came from
Scotland, certainly. Possibly Dundee?

Essential?
Plastic Bag From Tesco is my yardstick for seeing how good any file searching software is. I have never found it, or even anything close. It was also the reason why when I got my Mac I signed up with tesco.net, as it didn't occur to me that what I thought was an amusing homage to a gravelly voiced scots singer made me look like my carrer was collecting trolleys in a supermarket car park. I still also paly Contraceptives and Diamond Rings, a song about chatting about anything to avoid talking about relationships, and bad taste in my mouth, which opens with one of the great attention grabbing lines of all time: "the winter's always been a bastard on my jeans"

Obscure?
Its possible even they hadn't heard of themselves

Not to be confused with:
The Wood Children, whose 'Vat of Tea' is a strangely named masterpiece

Update:
Since this page first appeared on the web, Andrea, the singer has been in touch with bothsidesnow to confirm that we didn't dream that at all; and the band's drummer wrote to us, too, but we've lost his email... sorry...
