Trash Can Sinatras

Turned 21/ I'll twist, I've bust, I'm wrong again

Who?
A bunch of Scots chancers whose heartbreak was spun into musical gold

Essential?
Their greatest work was the album Cake; song wise they produced a load of instant classic masterpieces including The Best Man's Fall, Who's He and a splendid cover of White Horses when that sort of thing hadn't been officially endorsed by the likes of Peter Kay.

Popstars in Reduced Circumstances?
It comes as a surprise to many that the Trash Can Sinatras are still (as at 1st October 2002) a going concern, although the individual elements also pursue solo affairs as well. The constant adversity for them to triumph over is likely to fuel a new album, the adversity of the production of which leading to the next...

In a nutshell, then:
Whatever happened to the likely lads, but with soft scottish vocals

Never mind the music, give us trivia:
We once saw them support Ride; they came on to Dancing Queen (before that was trendy, too) wearing yellow sou'westers.
